Community Development
- Community Dinner- in partnership with St. Joseph Parish a free community dinner is held every second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 5:00pm – 6:30pm. Come meet your neighbors and contribute to your community. Volunteer opportunities are needed for cooking, serving and creating community activities.
- Community Organizing Committees – In order to create sustainable change community organizing committees have been sustained to address important issues in the community. These committees are resident lead.
- Comite de Vecinos- Addressing access to health and educational opportunities for immigrants.
- G-FLY- Youth organizing committee to address High School Drop out rate (see youth programs for more information).
- Public Safety Committee- Addressing issues of traffic and crime and violence.
- Parents to the Rescue/ Padres al Rescate – Parents addressing educational issues.
- Clean up committee meets every second Saturday of the month between April and October.
- Community Events- The CNC hosts many cultural and seasonal community events such as a Halloween activities, Three Kings event, Thanks giving, Mother’s day and a Youth Festival yearly.
