Empowering Services

Adult Education

  • G.E.D. program- taught in Spanish and currently runs Monday and Tuesday  5:30-7:30pm.  Classes run 10 weeks. Call for when the next class starts. *Registration fee $10 book fee: $20.

  • ESL classes- please call for more information. Classes consist of 10 week “real life English” classes. These classes give students confidence to seek out more advanced classes. The level is for beginners, however intermediate and conversational level classes are also available.

  • Computer classes- a six week program to familiarize students with computers including internet and Microsoft Office basics.

  • Leadership development Workshops- People empowering people workshops are incorporated into all of the programming we offer.

Family Services

  • Food Pantry open Monday through Thursday 9-3pm

  • Rent and fuel assistance

  • MassHealth and food stamp enrollment

  • HIV testing & counseling

  • information & referral services

  • United Families/Familias Unidas Parenting classes are offered twice a year for 10 week sessions. These classes take a nurturing approach and also include the people empowering people curriculum that helps to strengthen communication skills and create a stronger family.  Classes are offered in English and Spanish.  Childcare is provided as is transportation.

  • Informative sessions about health and other topics decided by the community.
