
Youth Programs Empowering Services Community Development

Our Programs
The Cleghorn Neighborhood Center accomplishes its mission primarily through:
- Youth Development Programs: after-school and summer programs that provide academic and enrichment activities, college preparation and career exploration for high school students, civic engagement and leadership development. All programs are centered on violence and drug prevention.
- Free Continuing Education for Adults: G.E.D. classes, ESL classes, computer training & access, People Empowering People leadership development workshops. Childcare is available for each program.
- Family Services: an emergency food pantry, rent and fuel assistance, MassHealth and food stamp enrollment, HIV testing & counseling, parenting classes and information & referral services.
- Resident-led Neighborhood Revitalization: youth and adult leadership training and community organizing committees that identify and solve neighborhood problems.
- Civic Engagement: voter registration, education and turnout; engagement in the community through community cleanups, a community garden, and many other activities.
